Mr. Carwell focuses on real estate, corporate, banking and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Carwell has assisted sellers and buyers in the negotiation and acquisition of both developed and undeveloped real property. He also provides representation before the zoning authorities in Warren County and surrounding counties as well as before related boards dealing with land use. He regularly represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation and drafting of leases with respect to commercial, office and residential property. He provides title services as an agent for First American Title Insurance Company, Lawyers Title Insurance Company and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, including issuing title insurance policies and conducting both commercial and residential closings. Mr. Carwell also represents corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies on choice of entity, formation and operational issues as well as preparation of agreements among shareholders or other owners. He has assisted both sellers and buyers in the negotiation and acquisition of retail, manufacturing and service businesses. Mr. Carwell has represented both lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and documentation of commercial loan transactions secured by real and personal property and in foreclosures upon collateral. Mr. Carwell also handles foreclosures, bankruptcies and workouts of individual and commercial debtors on behalf of financial institutions and other creditors. Mr. Carwell serves as a mediator and as an arbitrator in matters relating to his areas of practice. He is also an arbitrator for the National Arbitration Forum. |
