We encourage first and second year law students to spend the summer with us, become acquainted with our firm and learn what the practice of law is really like. During a summer with us, summer associates can work in a wide variety of practice areas or, depending on the firm's needs, concentrate in a single area tailored to their personal career goals.
Summer associates are encouraged to get out of the office and away from their books and computers to attend depositions, hearings, client meetings and similar activities to gain a practical understanding of the practice of law. We also offer our summer associates a variety of social and other outside activities so that they can spend informal time with our attorneys and experience what it is like to live in Bowling Green.
We believe that candid feedback is crucial to the success of our summer program and to the development of each summer associate. Each summer associate’s performance is formally evaluated, and we encourage each attorney in the firm to provide immediate, informal feedback on projects. We also use a mentor system to help ensure that summer associates have a positive work experience.
If you are interested in working with us for a summer, please contact the firm's Recruiting Partner, Brett Reynolds, at (270) 781-6500 or by e-mail.
If we invite you to the firm for an interview, we will arrange for you to meet with several attorneys. If coming to your interview requires substantial travel, we will help make travel arrangements and reimburse you for the cost of travel and lodging.
