Travis C. Armstrong, CLM, CPA Named President of the Association of Legal Administrators (International)

The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Nominating Committee recently met in Chicago, Illinois to identify individuals who will fill upcoming vacancies on ALA’s Board of Directors and Chapter Resource Team. Travis Armstrong of English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley (ELPO Law) has been named ALA’s 2024-2025 President-Elect.

The Association of Legal Administrators (International) is the premier professional association connecting managers and leaders within the legal industry. Founded in 1971, the ALA provides support to professionals involved in the management of law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal agencies.

Joining Armstrong on the ALA Board will be incoming Directors:

  • Daniel P. Atcheson of Jenkins Taylor & Hunt, P.A., in Morrisville, North Carolina (2024-2027)
  • Sarah E. Cramer of Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice, LLC, in Kansas City, Missouri (2024-2025)
  • Elyssa A. Goldstein, CLM, PHR, SHRM-CP, of Rebenack Aronow & Mascolo, LLP, in New Brunswick, New Jersey (2024-2027)
  • Ken Koehn, CLM, CPA, CMA, of Gould & Ratner LLP, in Chicago, Illinois (2024-2027)

Travis, CFO of ELPO Law is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and holds designations as a CPA and CLM. Travis is a Past President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the ALA Middle Tennessee Chapter, and previously served as the Conference Chair for the ALA Annual Conference and Expo in Texas in 2019. Locally, Travis has volunteered with the United Way of Southern Kentucky, served on the Board of Directors for Family Enrichment Center, is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Bowling Green and currently serves on the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation Board of Directors Executive Committee.

During his term as President, Travis will participate in the strategic planning and policy setting decisions, serving the best interests of all members and the Association. He will be relied upon to advance the creative strategies that promote the mission of the ALA and inform members of the polices, programs and initiatives of the ALA. Individuals who commit to serve at this level of the Association are held to high standards of public deity, decorum, dependability, and service to the members.

Of his appointment Travis says, “Having proudly been a member for eighteen years I am humbled at the Nominating Committee’s selection to serve the ALA at this level. I continue to be eternally grateful to those who have supported me throughout my career, and I look forward to collaborating with my fellow Board of Directors ensuring the ALA remains the premier professional association within the legal industry.”
