Bob Young to speak at ABA new partner conference

by Mandy Hicks

Attorney Bob Young of ELPO will speak in February at the New Partner Conference, which is offered by the American Bar Association‘s Young Lawyer Division.

He will serve as a panelist for a presentation called The Pitfalls of Partnership. A description of the panel is as follows:

To enjoy the increased responsibilities and perks that accompany the rank of partner, you also have to consider how to minimize your potential liability as a newly-appointed representative of your firm. Our panel of experts will discuss liabilities in becoming a shareholder/partner, including malpractice and tax liabilities that could arise. You will also gain valuable insight on understanding different law firm business models and how the economics of a law firm work, including how to increase profitability for yourself and the firm effectively, analyze client quality and value, and control budgeting issues.
