Daily News highlights ELPO in article

by Mandy Hicks

Daily News writer Justin Story recently interviewed Bob Young of ELPO for a story on March Madness and its affect on office productivity. Bob noted that today, March 17, ELPO’s partners, attorneys and employees will likely be keeping an eye on the UK and UofL games. Here is an excerpt of the story:

At Bowling Green law firm English, Lucas, Priest and Owsley, the office will be open to clients Thursday afternoon, but many employees there will have at least one eye on the games.

“We normally bring in food for everybody on Thursday or Friday during lunch, especially when UK, U of L or (Western Kentucky University) is playing,” said Bob Young of the downtown law firm’s management committee.

While the Hilltoppers are staying home this postseason, the break room at ELPO is anticipated to be filled with basketball fans Thursday afternoon, many of them cheering for the Wildcats.

Young said UK fans dominate the law firm – many of them are alumni – although a smattering of U of L fans also try to have their voices heard.

“I would say that everyone here is either a fan or not a fan of one of those two universities,” Young said.
