Beginning Wednesday, July 27, ELPO will accept stories on our Facebook page that illustrate the power of mentoring children. Specifically, we are looking for stories from people who shared a close, positive relationship with an adult (not a parent) during their childhood, and how that relationship changed their life. We’ll select the best story, and award that person two tickets to Spirits in the Cave. MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD TO ACCEPT WINNING PRIZE. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT 21.

Spirits in the Cave is a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky. The event is August 11, 6 to 9 p.m., at the Lost River Cave. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at the Big Brothers Big Sisters offices, 716 East 10th Avenue, Bowling Green.

Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs responsible adults with children and teens who need a positive relationship in their lives. ELPO has long supported this program, and is the title sponsor for Spirits in the Cave. In addition, ELPO attorney and partner Brett Reynolds serves as a Big Brother to a youth he has mentored for 10 years. He also serves on the organization’s board of directors.
