ELPO hires two clerks for summer

by Mandy Hicks

Two law school students, Nicole Tarrence and Jessica Shoulders, have joined ELPO as clerks for the summer.

Nicole is a native of Bowling Green whose first introduction to ELPO was in sixth grade. She was enrolled in Project Challenge, a program for gifted and talented students and was assigned to shadow ELPO attorney Bob Young for the day – which is when she decided she wanted to be an attorney. She first worked at ELPO as a staff assistant during the summers of her first three years of attending the University of Louisville, where she graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She currently attends the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she will enter her third year this fall.

Jessica is a native of Franklin, Ky. She first worked for ELPO as a staff assistant during the summers of her first three years of attending Western Kentucky University. She clerked for ELPO during the summer of 2010 as well. She will be a third year law student at the University of Kentucky College of Law this fall.
