ELPO Law Announces Key Associate Hires Following Building Expansion and Renovation
by Ashley Carter
English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley, LLP (ELPO Law) today announced the addition of two new associate attorneys, Chandler A. Flynt, and Noah W. Thornberry. These recent hires solidify the firm’s commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality legal services to the region and reinforces its focus on future growth following the completion of a nearly two-year building expansion and renovation.
- Chandler Flynt is a lifelong resident of Bowling Green and joins the firm with an established connection to ELPO Law. Flynt previously served as a staff assistant and later a law clerk at the firm while excelling academically, graduating summa cum laude from both Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. During law school, she was the Symposium Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review Vol. 63, was a two-time CALI Award recipient, the 3L class representative for the Student Bar Association, and served as Secretary of the Student Bar Foundation, all while finishing in the top ten of her class. Chandler’s experience provides her with invaluable insight into the firm’s operations and client needs from day one.
- Noah Thornberry, also a Bowling Green native, strengthens the firm’s capabilities in transactional and finance-related law. He earned a perfect 4.00 GPA graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law. He was also a two-time CALI Award recipient, and a finalist in the 2023 Intrascholastic Client Counseling Competition. Thornberry’s background includes direct involvement in the litigation process, having participated in various court proceedings during his time as a law clerk with the firm, and is bringing a solid foundation in both law and finance to ELPO Law.
Bringing the total number of attorneys to thirty-three, the hiring of Ms. Flynt and Mr. Thornberry marks a significant step in ELPO Law’s long-term growth plan. The firm recently completed its building expansion and renovation at its College Street location, an endeavor designed to foster collaborative legal work, enhance the client experience, and accommodate a growing team by allowing all attorneys and staff to be under the same roof in almost a decade.
“Our building expansion was more than a physical upgrade—it was a strategic investment in the future of our firm and our region,” said Bob Young, Managing Partner of ELPO Law. “Welcoming exceptional talent like Chandler Flynt, and Noah Thornberry, who have roots in both our firm and community, is the next key step.
