ELPO participates in food drive

by Mandy Hicks

ELPO is participating in the United Way of Southern KentuckyFeed the Need” food drive to benefit food banks in Warren County. ELPO will be accepting donations of canned goods now through March 16. Donations may be dropped off during business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cash and check donations will be accepted.

In addition, ELPO will send volunteers to area grocery stores on Friday, March 16. Volunteers will work two hour shifts, in teams of two, passing out information about Feed the Need to shoppers and collecting donated goods as they leave the stores. Other volunteers will work a two hour shift at The Salvation Army unloading/sorting donated goods.

“ELPO has always had a very strong giving campaign through employee and firm contributions,” says Gaines Penn, managing partner of ELPO. “This drive allows us to participate more fully in United Way’s mission to ‘Give – Advocate – Volunteer’ by allowing employees to volunteer for a good cause.”
