English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley, LLP (ELPO Law) is pleased to announce that attorney J.A. Sowell has been named a partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2026.

Since joining ELPO Law in August 2017, Sowell has become a vital member of the firm’s litigation and personal injury teams. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army and is a member of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals.

Sowell’s professional excellence has been consistently recognized by his peers; he has been named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® list since 2021 for his work in Corporate Law and Personal Injury Litigation (both Plaintiffs and Defendants). He maintains active memberships in the American, Kentucky, and Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Associations, as well as the Kentucky Justice Association and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

Bob Young, Managing Partner at ELPO Law, says, “J.A. has been an integral part of our team since 2017, and it has been a privilege to watch his growth as an attorney. He shares our firm’s deep commitment to this community and our clients. His promotion to partner is a testament to his hard work, legal acumen, and the high standard of service he provides to the individuals we represent.”
