“In life, in family, and in business, there is no greater gift we can give clients than peace of mind,” says attorney Heather Coleman Brooks. “Often clients call us when they are uncertain about a major life decision, whether it be buying a house, starting a business, or planning their estate.”

For Heather, building relationships with these clients is the best part of practicing law. “Whatever our clients need, we are here to help. We ensure we put a plan in place that prepares them for the challenges ahead.”

Heather works with individuals, families, and business owners in all areas of trusts and estates, business law, and real estate.

For individuals and families seeking estate planning, Heather helps them implement a plan to meet their individual needs and desires. She listens closely to her clients’ goals, and discusses various options to assist them in planning for the disposition of their assets, naming someone to make medical and financial decisions when they are unable, protecting their assets for their loved ones, and minimizing estate taxes.

Heather also assists business owners of all levels from start-up to success. Coming from a large family of small business owners, she has a special appreciation for those who have the passion to make their dreams a reality and has learned that a great business idea will only be as successful as the plan put in place to achieve it. Heather enjoys working with business owners and entrepreneurs to offer guidance on matters related to formation, governance, operations, and negotiations.

Prior to attending law school at the University of Kentucky College of Law, Heather was a newspaper editor in south central Kentucky. She lives in Bowling Green with her husband, Russell, and their one-eyed Shar-Pei, Fletch. Heather has a passion for all things real-estate related, and in her spare time, is perpetually in the midst of a home renovation project.
